MeetUp: ETSY Craft Parties
Ever feel lonely in your one-person studio? I know I do.
However, I believe I found a new way to meet like-minded individuals: Craft Party in Your Town, a global craft party on June 10th.
What’s great about this is that you can meet other artists and talk shop. While it seems at this point it is mostly crafters (not that there’s anything wrong with that), this looks like a great jumping off point to begin conversations with local designers and people doing interesting things.
Etsy’s Brief: No matter where you live or what you love to make, you are invited to participate. Musicians, painters, sculptors, photographers, farmers, hackers, gardeners, designers, jewelers, bookbinders, printmakers, teachers, makers and doers of all stripes, as well as art enthusiasts, curators, vintage lovers and supporters of the independently made, we’re calling on you!
Meetup.com: A convenient way to meet like-minded peeps
Here’s your local ETSY Meetup Link. If you’re already signed up with Meetup.com, you’ll breeze right in. Otherwise, you’ll want to create an account and this works for a variety of meetup events around your neighborhood: cooking, walking dogs, foursquare, Groupon, Threadless, and so much more. You can even log in with your Facebook account.
I’m determined not to let this bedroom community prevent me from meeting intriguing entrepreneurs. Are you? Go sign up today and I hope I see you!
